The front legs and chair back are one piece, curved and twisted. The forms are inspired by life in the ocean; seaweed meandering in the tide, a stingray gliding through the water. The first series is built for the atelier of jewellery designer Julia Otilia, who inspires her designs on the shapes in nature. To create the shapes I have sliced the plank in pieces, bendt them with the use of steam and then glued the pieces back together. Design in collaboration with Julia Otilia.
