A kneeler for two, used in the protestant wedding service. After giving the vows the couple kneels down on this bench together and are blessed by the priest. Its multitude of straight legs creates a double curved surface. The design follows the shape of the human body in a kneeling position. Every line symbolises a prayer; one line, the simplest of architectural shapes, is just a line but when a community comes together, everyone unique, a beautiful whole is created. Designed with Steven van Kooten.
