Ventus

This roof terrace on an apartment building in the former industrial harbour docks of Amsterdam is very windy. Two embracing lounges create a shelter. The shapes are inspired by the wind; it looks like the force of nature has shaped blocks by years of erosion into the curves that support the human body into a comfy seat or lounge with armrest. The surrounding plants include high grasses that gently sway in the wind.
